Statistics training that makes sense
At Compugoal Computer Services, you can learn the latest statistical methods in an efficient, affordable and enjoyable manner. We offer short seminars on a wide variety of popular statistical methods—methods that are not offered in many graduate programs. Our instructors are all well-known experts in their fields. They are also outstanding teachers who are highly skilled at making statistics understandable.

Compugoal Computer Services provides public, two-day and five-day seminars that cover a wide range of topics in statistics, from introductory statistics (using STATA) to advanced topics like multilevel modeling. Many of our seminars are on topics that are often not included in graduate curricula, like missing data and propensity score methods. Trying to learn methods like these on your own can be a real challenge. Our seminars are designed to help busy professionals who want to learn the latest statistical methods in an efficient, effective and affordable way.
Our instructors are the best in the business. They are all well-known experts in their areas of interest, and they are also great teachers. They excel at making statistics interesting, comprehensible, and enjoyable, even for those without a heavy-duty math background. The majority of our seminars are conveniently located in Nairobi. But we also offer courses in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Thika, Machakos, Nyeri, Mandera, Garissa and Moyale.
Compugoal Computer Services was founded in 1996 by Patrick M. Mulwa. Patrick first began teaching public short courses on Survey data Analysis in 2002, and he has continued to offer that course every year since then. In 2006 he began offering a public course on Categorical Data Analysis. In 2011, he added Missing Data to the course roster. More recent additions include Longitudinal Data Analysis and Introduction to Structural Equation Modeling.
In 2016, the company offered its first course taught by another instructor: Data Mining.

Data from complex samples, sometimes called survey data, include multi-stage sampling designs, stratified sampling, and unequal probability of selection. In this course we will discuss how to properly incorporate information on design features into analyses in Stata.
We will begin by reviewing the sampling methods used to collect survey data, and discusses how to incorporate design information into the estimation of totals, ratios, and regression coefficients. Methods of computing standard errors available in Stata will also be discussed. We will also cover strata with a single sampling unit, certainty sampling units, subpopulation estimation, and poststratification. This workshop will incorporate extensive worked examples in Stata.
Learn the comprehensive skill set needed to conduct effective Survey Projects including the design of a valid, comprehensive survey questionnaire, administration of surveys, and analysis of the data.
